No I am not a WiFi provider in Colombo. I was in Colombo in May 2006 for a business meeting and stopped at Colombo City Hotel. I did my initial scans from there. Once again I was in Colombo in December 2006 for the delivery of our baby. Stopped at Colombo City for 2 days before we moved in to a house with the family. Thought I'll do a scan once again to see if the same open Wi-Fi networks or some new open Wi-Fi networks are around.

As you can see from the map Colombo City Hotel is on the Canal Row and it takes 5 mins by walk when you take the Bank of Ceylon Mw. I think it is less than 100m when you take a straight path from the hotel to WTC.
